F\u00f6r att st\u00e4rka integrationen p\u00e5 arbetsmarknaden och ta tillvara p\u00e5 seniorers yrkeserfarenhet testade f\u00f6reningen Kreativa Byar i \u00c4lvsbyn en ny modell: seniorst\u00f6d. Id\u00e9n gick ut p\u00e5 att l\u00e5ta pensionerade yrkesarbetare handleda nyanl\u00e4nda p\u00e5 arbetsplatsen med syfte att \u00f6verbrygga spr\u00e5kbarri\u00e4rer och bidra med b\u00e5de yrkeskunskap och socialt st\u00f6d.<\/p>\n

Projektet fokuserade p\u00e5 att unders\u00f6ka metodens m\u00f6jligheter i praktiken. Genom samtal med f\u00f6retag, nyanl\u00e4nda och seniorer kartlades intresse och behov. Totalt kontaktades ett 60-tal f\u00f6retag, och en konkret plan togs fram f\u00f6r hur ett genomf\u00f6randeprojekt skulle kunna utformas.<\/p>\n

Pandemin satte k\u00e4ppar i hjulen f\u00f6r matchningen mellan deltagare men metoden v\u00e4ckte intresse och projektet ledde till nya samarbeten, bland annat mellan \u00c4lvsby folkh\u00f6gskola och Bodens kommun.<\/p>\n
