Grow together II

The lack of housing outside urban areas is one of the major challenges for rural areas. To reverse the trend and meet the growing influx in Boden and Luleå, the project Växa tillsammans II was implemented. The project built on a previous feasibility study and resulted in a comprehensive mapping of over 500 uninhabited properties in the Råne and Vitå rivers valleys.

With the help of dialogues with property owners, real estate agents, and other stakeholders, new opportunities were created for people to find a home in the countryside. Interest in abandoned houses increased and more properties were put up for sale. A digital relocation service was developed to simplify the contact between property owners and potential movers.
