About Micro Grants

Simpler administration and faster decisions
Micro grants are a simpler way to receive support for a smaller local development initiative – without having to start a full-scale Leader project. This means less administration, shorter processing time, and a smoother process.

Each micro grant is granted within the framework of a larger umbrella project, and we have a special budget allocated for this.

Clearly defined initiatives
Micro grants are intended for smaller and clearly defined initiatives. The time you have to implement the initiative is specified in the information for each micro grant.

Voluntary engagement
In several of our micro grants, voluntary engagement is included as an important part. The requirements for voluntary time are specified in the information for each micro grant.

Step 1

Anchor your idea

Your first step is to think through your idea and what needs it will meet. Also consider who is affected by the initiative and who may need to be involved.

Consider:

  • What need the idea addresses

  • Who can benefit from it

  • If it is something you can do together

Also look at our various micro grants and think about which one fits your idea best.

Are you unsure? Contact us – we will help you find the right one!

Step 2

Application

Find the right micro grant

Read about our micro grants and choose the one that fits your idea. Use the quick test if it is available for the grant.

2. Read information and rules

Review the conditions for the micro grant before you proceed.

Contact us

Briefly tell us about your idea. We will help you assess if it fits within the grant and answer any questions.

Application

Once you have been in contact with us, fill out the application and submit the requested documents.

Decision

When the application is complete, it will be assessed by our decision committee, which consists of representatives from the LAG board. You will then receive notification of whether the application has been approved, rejected, or returned for further information.

Remember to apply well in advance before you plan to start your initiative!

The Leader office is available as support both before the application and during implementation. Contact us if you have questions, need help with the application, or if something needs to be changed during the project. We will also assist you with what needs to be reported when the project is completed.
