To carry out a project

Has your project been approved? Is it now time to turn the idea into reality? We will accompany you throughout the journey.
Start your project

From idea to reality!

Follow the project plan throughout the project and review it carefully before you begin. If you are several working on the project, it is good to allocate responsibilities early and plan regular project meetings. Document what you have done and what needs to be done next – this facilitates both reporting and final accounting.

You can incur costs in the project from the day the application was submitted via the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service. However, until the formal decision is made, it is at your own risk. Therefore, avoid larger investments until the decision is finalized.

The development office is there to support you throughout the project, including through follow-up meetings and assistance with the application for payment. Get in touch – help is just an email away!

The decision on support is based on the project plan and budget in the application. If something needs to be changed, you should contact the development office and get the change approved. Otherwise, there is a risk that the support cannot be paid out. We will of course help you adjust the project plan if necessary.

Access your support decision and get all the necessary information!

The support decision provides you with details regarding the actions you need to take during the implementation of your initiative. Remember to also read the attachment ”Other Information” that accompanies the decision.

Use the correct logos

All projects that have leader funding must show this by using the correct logos. This applies, for example, to advertisements, information sheets, and websites.

We help spread information about your initiative in our channels – feel free to tag us to draw our attention to what is happening.

Remember that you are our best ambassador! Please tell others about us and the opportunity to apply for leader support.

Advice and information along the way

An opportunity

Apply for an advance

When your project is approved and about to start, we recommend that you apply for an advance. Log in with BankID on My Pages at the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Once you are logged in, click through: ”To e-services” → ”Go to e-service”. Then select ”Application for payment” → ”Advance payment”.

You can receive up to 50 percent of the total support in advance, a maximum of 250,000 kronor. Since the support consists of both EU funds and Swedish funds, the advance can at most correspond to the Swedish part of the support. The exact amount you can receive is stated in your support decision.

Information obligation

Important

It should be clearly stated that the project is funded by EU and Leader Spira Mare. Also describe the project's purpose and what results it has led to. The information should be available on relevant websites and social media as well as in information and communication materials produced within the project.

It is important to follow the information and logo requirements. If the requirements are not followed, deductions may be made from the support. What applies to your specific project is stated in the support decision.

Apply for a change

Is the project not going entirely according to plan?

It is very important that you follow the project plan when you carry out your project. Sometimes, however, unexpected things happen. If something arises that makes it difficult to carry out the project as planned, it is good to contact us at the development office. You may need more time or extra money. Before you make any changes, it is important that you talk to us first.

It is important to remember that different changes require different kinds of handling. Therefore, it is best to always talk to us at the office if you want to change something. Sometimes we can help you directly. In some cases, however, our board needs to make a decision.

When you start incurring costs

Apply for payment

After you have received a decision on support and have incurred expenses for the project, you can apply for partial payment at any time. We recommend that you apply within three months after the project has started, and then regularly throughout the duration of the project. The application for partial payment is simple and can be done smoothly via My Pages on the Agricultural Agency's website.

If you need help or have questions about the application for payment, you are welcome to contact our development office. We are here to support and guide you through the entire process. If necessary, we can even help you with the very first application for payment.

Tips from the office

How to avoid deductions

To ensure that you receive the support you have applied for, accuracy is important. Therefore, it is significant to read the decision and follow the conditions, project plan, and budget. If you do not follow these, you risk not receiving the money you have applied for. Keep in mind that only the expenses described in the decision entitle you to support.

To avoid any deductions, it is important to use the correct logos on all material.

To ensure that no incorrect deductions are made, you should also report the project's expenses clearly. The best way to avoid deductions is to be able to show a report from your accounting that only includes the expenses related to the project.

Keep track of when the project should be completed. Be mindful of the deadline and apply for the final payment in good time. If you apply too late, it may lead to deductions on the support you have been granted.

Before you apply for payment, it is wise to go through the checklist carefully so that you do not miss anything.

If you have an obligation to conduct procurements, make sure that you know what applies to you when it comes to procurement rules.
