Knutpunkt Norrbotten – a development project

To highlight Töre's unique location at the meeting point between E4 and E10 and its potential as a tourist destination both on land and at sea, the project Knutpunkt Norrbotten was initiated. Despite growing interest in the location, not least through the international sailing competition Midsummer Sail, sufficient infrastructure to accommodate visitors was lacking. Töre's harbor has therefore been at the center of a broad development effort.

With new electrical cabinets, grill houses, outdoor kitchens, and signs, the harbor area has been upgraded and become a natural meeting place for both locals and long-distance guests. The annual Töre Harbor Festival has been established as a recurring event with market stalls, a music stage, and activities for the whole family. The project has also strengthened the local economy through new collaborations, businesses, and products. Töre has become a clearer part of the northern coast's tourist map, a place to return to, year-round.
