A healthier life

In Kalix, PRO wanted to show that wellness is more than just exercise; it is about community, joy, and health throughout life. Especially for those over 65. To highlight Kalix as a place where this is possible, a four-day inspiration event was organized.

Through lectures, workshops, and cultural elements, a vibrant meeting place was created where wellness was at the center. Participants were able to try different forms of movement and get ideas on how health and well-being can be strengthened in everyday life. Local businesses and youth organizations contributed to an inclusive and innovative setup, and an important part of the project was to create meetings between generations.

The project has led to new networks and a clear signal that wellness is something everyone can partake in. Interest in continued activities has increased, and Kalix has gained a clearer profile as a place where health and community go hand in hand.
