Nature Trails in Pite Älvdal

Between the villages Vidsel, Trångfors, Bredsel, and Storforsen, a hiking trail approximately 10 kilometers long has been completed, equipped with trail markings, signs, rest areas with fire pits, benches, and a bivouac. The new trail improves accessibility to nature and makes the area more attractive for both visitors and locals.

The project was carried out to meet a growing demand for hiking trails in scenic environments and to contribute to a more varied offering for the tourism industry. The trail has the potential to become part of a larger trail system in Pite Älvdal and strengthens the villages' opportunities to offer experiences and services year-round, from café and accommodation to guided tours. The preschool and school in Vidsel also benefit from the rest area in their outdoor educational work.

The project was implemented in collaboration between associations, businesses, and residents in the area, and the result is a usable trail with long-term benefits for both visitors and the local community.
