Development plans for Vitådalen and the villages in the area

To create a future where more can and want to live and work in Vitådalen, a common direction for the development of the community was needed. In this project, a comprehensive development plan was created with the help of residents, village associations, and businesses from Jämtön, Högsön, Vitå, and Upper Vitådalen. The work was based on a joint SWOT analysis and a large number of open meetings along the river valley.

Four focus areas were highlighted as crucial for the future: school and preschool, broadband and mobile telephony, housing, as well as businesses and services. The development plan is concrete and well anchored, and provides a clear vision for continued work in the community. Today it is used as a tool to strengthen Vitådalen's attractiveness for new residents, businesses, and investments.
