Vallsberget bike park

To make trail cycling more accessible and create a safe place where more can start and develop, the association Pite MTB wants to establish a bike park at Vallsberget. Interest in mountain biking has grown, especially among young people, but there is a lack of beginner-friendly environments where skills and confidence can be built up step by step. Here is an opportunity to gather both new and experienced cyclists in an open and inclusive environment that encourages movement, community, and joy year-round.

The initiative is part of a larger effort where the entire area at Vallsberget is being developed into a complete Bike Arena with several parts that together create an attractive meeting place for cycling and activity. The leader project focuses on one of these parts – the freestyle gravity park – which will be an important addition to the whole.

Within the project, a freestyle gravity section will be built with trails of varying difficulty levels. Here, cyclists will be able to develop their skills through jumps, curves, and technical elements in a safe environment. The trails are shaped with both machine and hand power and complemented with sustainable constructions for long-term use.
